Default early Phila tickets

Here is a ticket stub from HOF'er Rube Waddell's record setting 1904 season in which he struck out 349 batters. Rube was the winning pitcher in the game played on June 25, 1904 at Philadelphia. The A's bested the Washington Senators 6-3.

Waddell owned the major league record for single season strikeouts until Sandy Koufax passed him with 382K's in 1965. Nolan Ryan since set the modern standard of 383K's in 1973.

Thanks Randall!

Disclaimer: I don't own this RPPC of Rube and Matty, but I love the image!
I've recently picked up some similar Philadelphia Athletics tickets and comparing the writing on it with Scott's, they appears to be from the same source. I've seen other Athletics and Phillies tickets with similar writing from various sellers on Ebay and other auction sites and was wondering if anyone had any information about their origin. Was a big cache of Philadelphia tickets recently found or have these been circulating for a while? I'm just curious how these things managed to survive. Thanks - Ed
