I just completed a trade with fellow board member Randall Hahn. Here is a ticket stub from HOF'er Rube Waddell's record setting 1904 season in which he struck out 349 batters. Rube was the winning pitcher in the game played on June 25, 1904 at Philadelphia. The A's bested the Washington Senators 6-3. Waddell owned the major league record for single season strikeouts until Sandy Koufax passed him with 382K's in 1965. Nolan Ryan since set the modern standard of 383K's in 1973. Thanks Randall!
