Just checked out your new looking site. Great stuff, and best of luck to you, my friend! Love the idea and hope to meet you in Cleveland!

as revolutionary as this sale may be...shouldn't it be in the post war area?

Good question and part of the reason I posted already in this thread. Sean, as an advertiser, paid for the privilege of doing it here, as part of package deal I made him. I appreciate folks understanding. I try to be cognizant of advertising and not make it too, too intrusive.

At one point, all of the cards that Sean is selling lived in my house.
I sold them all to Sean, knowing that he was going to turn around and sell them. I had no time, or interest, to put the necessary work into approximately 42,840 ebay auctions. That having been said, I am happy to help Sean answer questions about the available cards. My email is doug.goodman@earthlink.net, please do not send private messages via the net54 system The important part to be aware of is that nearly every variation listed in any guide is included in these auctions. I say "nearly every", not "all", because I am a crotchety old man, and do not believe that all listed variations are valid. Yes, 1958 Pancho Herrera, I'm talking to you, and your glorified print dot. The 1952 red & black backs (but not the grey backs), the 1953 black and white print backs, the 1956 white & grey backs, all 3 (yes, I said three) 1963 Peel-off back variations, etc.. When looking at Sean's list, here is how to read it : 1956 Topps 342 cards in the regular set 544 cards in "master" set including (approved by Doug) variations 541 cards for sale blah blah blah Does that make his list a bit easier to read? Doug PS - I kept the 1971 winners, and still hope that April Bole pays me a visit. Also, I didn't buy my 1990 George Bush card until after Sean bought my collection, so I guess he's the start of my next collection. Last edited by doug.goodman; 02-28-2014 at 08:25 PM. |
