I am a Yankee collector, and try to put Yankee team sets together from all sets.

I have put the T206 Yankee team together, worrying about the pictures on the front only, i dont care whats on the back.

I have 28 different fronts of T206 Yankees, and as far as I know, unless there are some rare obscure variations that i dont know about, thats the full Yankee team set.

I'm assuming you aren't counting the Doyle variation as a separate card.

I'm currently building a Cincinnati T206 team set in VG to VGEX. I just have 4 more to go. I feel like building a team set is definitely the way to go if you're just starting out collecting T206...especially if you're from a city that doesn't have a team with the Big Four

And thanks to all the Net54 members who have sold me their Cincy cards in my small quest to complete the set.

I'm working on the Detroit Tigers set. Knocked out 20 so far. The toughest ones I have left are the Cobb green, and the Mullin horizontal.

Default T206 Teams

When I first started collecting T206s I just bought whatever I could get ahold of. It was fun, but I found myself with multiple copies of the same card and decided I needed to start a checklist and refine my searches and purchases.

I did the Indianapolis team set, since that's close to where I grew up in North-central Indiana. It has only five players, but I believe I have 42 total Indy cards. The distribution is not equal, however, as I have over 20 Jack Hayden cards and only three Paul Davidson cards. The degrees of condition vary greatly, but I pretty much buy them in any condition whenever I see them at card shows. No idea why (so much for refining my purchases...).

I then moved on to the Chicago White Sox team set (my favorite childhood team) and am now working on the Boston Nat'l set (my current team).

It provides an interesting challenge and a way to stay somewhat focused instead of just buying in the scattered, unorganized manner that I was doing it before.

My team set was pretty easy to finish seeing how Richmond only has two players.I am about to go for the other Virginia League teams in Old Mill G/VG range.

Just scratched the surface on starting a St.Louis Browns T206 team subset (haven't really heard that team mentioned) Also, continuing to pick up some big name low grade HOF's as well.

So far I think I've got 3 Browns and 2 pending out of 22.
Much more attainable goal than 522 cards lol.
