Pretty sure he tested positive for a ped in 2003, but was not outed until many years later... to this day he still does not know how he failed the test...

Absolutely! About a year after he proclaimed "If you ever catch me using performance-enhancing drugs, I will walk away from baseball," he failed a drug test (the same one as Manny.) He claimed he was going to get to the bottom of it, he must still be investigating.

Well, that makes it OK then! We can all ignore his being a hypocrite.
The love Ortiz gets, plus the hero welcome Manny got from LA when he returned from his suspension tell me that people really don't care about steroids at all.
