Why not APO boxes? It's the same price as shipping it to Cedar Rapids, IA or Latrobe, PA. Military folks like cards too...

Cheers,
Geno

I've wondered the same thing myself. Many of us that are/were in service collected at that time.

Ending today at 11:59 EST. To answer your question, last time I sent a parcel to an APO it cost $9 whereas the same exact package was sent to the west coast for $5.

This is the first I have heard of this--perhaps you used a different shipping method. APO and FPOs are charged domestic postage to San Francisco or NYC. These boxes are intentionally set up for military members who are overseas so they can send and receive packages at the same rates as stateside members. You can do what you want but to the best of knowledge, you pay the same price to an APO as you would to any stateside address.

Default Yep

That's true. I was stationed in England for 4 years, and deployed to the Middle East. Everything I was sent came with normal postage. I think there is an APO/FPO box that you can cram a much as you want into it, which is about $9 regardless of weight. Maybe that's what happened.

Take Care,
Geno
