Note that according to a recent thread on the PSA forum, most of the Spence collection has been purchased by the Tull collection: Link. A recent article on Tull from the SCD is here: Link

From SCD:
Tull, whose net worth has been estimated at more than $500 million, paid $632,500 for the Mazeroski uniform and $322,000 for the bronzed bat.

The bat is bronzed? Ouch!

Default PSA luncheon

What's so bad about the PSA luncheon? My buddy and I have attended it the last four years; the food's always good and there are usually freebies (T206 book, Cracker Jack book, Cracker Jack Ruth card, etc.) Plus, there are some very prominent members of this board who have world-class collections on the registry who have received rewards (not me) and I think it's great.

Part-owner of the Steelers. Can't be all bad, hanging out with the Rooneys...him and his bronze bat and all...

That reminds me of the joke about the blonde olympian who cherished her gold metal so much she had it bronzed.
