When it comes to strip cards, which are hand cut, they appear to do both. This is my W512 baseball subjects set, all SGC graded. When I was submitting these to SGC, they kept coming back 'A', even some of the sharp ones. Then I find a Frisch on eBay that had a numerical grade. So it seems they'll do both, but I'm not sure if there's any consistency.
The same can be said for PSA as well. When I was putting this set together, I saw PSA graded W512s with numerical grades as well as 'Authentic'. ![]()
