42. Bought my first in around 1982. Collected from 1998-2004, got up to 367 and sold off to help buy our house. Started again in 2011 and I'm up to 219.

Desiderata

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.

Gum cards in the 60s. Collected nothing after that until 1989 then I started collecting baseball, hockey and lacrosse tobacco cards.

48 and I just started. When I was a kid I loved playing Superstar Baseball board game and loved all the old names. I'm also new to this sight as I was recommended to this sight by bigsaintsfaninbigd. I love the sight and I look forward to learning from you all. Thanks in advance for all the help.

60 (sh*t)

Bought my first at 13-14 years old from Card Collector's Co. Sold all 225 when my daughter started on her Master's Degree. Have reacquired about 12. That is probably it for T206. Falling hard for Obaks.

29. Started 22-23. Had a couple hundred, but sold most of them two years ago when I went back to school. I kept about 50-60 of my HoFers and favorites and maybe picked up a half dozen since, but found other projects of late.

I'm 41, and am fairly new (a bit more than one year) to collecting T206 cards.

The OP asked for a guess as to what the average age of T206 collectors would be. My initial thought was 55 years old. Apparently, the crowd is a bit younger.

Best Regards,

Eric

i am now 27 now, and have been doing this with my dad since i was about 24 ... and i intend upon doing this until the day i die, because with all of the variations and backs in t206, it seems like there is always something new and interesting to accomplish!

49 Bought my first T206 in 1991 from a shop in Cooperstown, NY. It was a very nice Zimmerman. Being a lifelong Cubs fan, I decided to put together a clean T206 Cubs set (1908 was their last championship at the time... and still is). Finished the Cubs set a while back. Now occasionally working on a back collection.

63 now, got my first T206 in 1970, my last in about 1982, which completed my set except for the Big 3. So, I put the set together between age 21-32. Now the Big 3 I need have grown to the Big 4 (Doyle added), but I can do without them unless I get to the point where there is nothing else to do.
