I like postcards, but am not up there with the big dogs when it comes to paying top dollar for them...it has been my observation though that the most expensive postcards are the Negro League team real photo postcards...followed up by the Pacific Coast League postcards.
edited to add: Not sure who the most "Distinguished" baseball postcard collector would be, but I have a lot of old postcard literature as I collect postcards unrelated to baseball as well and have accumulated a lot of it, but I notice old advertisements from the 1950s from Wirt Gammon wanting to buy baseball postcards. There are also lots of ads from Jefferson Burdick advertising his catalogs and other books he wrote. I think he must have had a very nice postcard collection, but I don't know what he did with it.
