If T3 Turkey Reds are from 1922, he doesn't know about PSA or SGC and thinks that Babe Ruth didn't have any cards made before 1933, what are the chances of a/some rare cards being in the find that he doesn't know about?

I mean, if the guy is using a Beckett price guide and an obscure card or rare back T card isn't listed then this guy probably isn't going to know anything about it.......

That was the most frustrating hobby related article I've ever read.

I don't care what the store owner doesn't know, at least he didn't try to low ball the customer who brought them in. He realized he couldn't afford to buy the cards and is trying to help them get top dollar.

Matthew,

That is true, however----

1) If he doesn't know the year the T3's were made

2) Doesn't know about PSA or SGC

and

3) doesn't know that there were cards made of Babe Ruth before the 1933 Goudey's

THEN it is very likely that he wont be getting "top dollar" for the cards.

He values the T3 Cobb at 5-6k so he's at least trying to get top dollar. (Probably a little high for the condition)
