Is that the card the government tried to take back and had stamped as fakes or something like that. I ran across some that didnt have the stamp.

I sure hope not..no I'm 99% sure that it is the real deal
But yes you are currect pawpaw, there were fakes that weren't stamped produced in the 80's I believe. One clear indicator would be the black outline on Rose's helmet.

I picked up quite a few '55 Topps cards this month and now have a total of 79/206. Hall of Famer Eddie Mathews was my favorite.

D Marvin…Chuck W…Thanks for the kind words. The Mathews is precisely what I like in a '55 Topps card...well-centered, crease-free, mid-range condition, and inexpensive.
