Picked up a pretty rare signature for under $10. It is on the whole minor league scorecard but I just cropped out the Tomas De La Cruz for photo purposes. He played only one season (1944) with the Reds and died very young at 46 in Havana Cuba in the 50s. Cant be too many of these around....

Hey all,

To finish up the month, I thought I'd try to contribute:

Kenesaw Mountain Landis

Frankie Frisch

Johnny Mitchell

I picked up these three photos over the past month or two, and I know for sure that the Frisch and Mitchell are Conlons. The back of the Landis makes no reference to any particular photographer, but it looks like it could be from Conlon's lens (though I don't recall ever seeing any filing numbers on his images). Either way, I thought they were all cool images and would make for some really nice paintings. Especially that Landis!!

Thanks all,

Graig

It's June 1968 and your Dad says let's go to Crosley Field and see the World Champ Cardinals. You grab your Instamatic and off you go. Well, it could have gone like that. Picked these up on ebay, not much in a photo clarity sort of way but I thought they were neat shots of an old ballpark.
