Thanks Jason. Fred Toney was a really good pitcher that time has pretty much forgot. He kind of did it to himself though because he wasted a few years in the Chicago Cubs system not really trying hard because he never really wanted to pitch in the majors. He was content to pitch in the minor leagues. As a result he lost roughly 3-4 seasons of his prime that he could have used at the major league level.
