Actually, that is not a good way of determining whether the card is fake. The Mantle was double printed, and there are slight variations between the two. The outlining around the Yankee logo and the marque around the signature are both more crooked on one of the versions. The card in question is of the latter variety, and in that sense is very true to the authentic card.
However, the card is definitely a fake. The OP's "crooked" variation should have a missing pixel in the upper left corner (just shows up as a white dot), which is clearly absent. Then there's also the fact that it just has that blatant "fake" look about it... |
