When I think of "classic sets" I think of larger sets that represent the era typically excluding n28s, 38 goudeys, etc. When I did a T3 thread it lasted for a awhile leading me to believe there are quite a few t3 collectors out there and the cards simply are stunning with arguably the best backgrounds on any card ever made.
