Wow Scott! Which kid are you? Also, can Coaches Corner still get a signing set up? I would love for my children to meet Lou.

Great Photo of Lou !!! Is that a young Richard S. (the kid with the tie) in the photo ??? And I thought I had been around the hobby a long time
Unlike the Babe , Rumor has it Lou was not too fond of kids so probably had to be "shoe horned" into that photo opt.
Yes Lou signed Right handed

James,
Forget the kids. I want to meet Lou Gehrig.
I've a whole lot of pictures to get signed.

For a grandma dottie looks like she was at the gun show. she could crush a beer can with her bare mitts.

Autograph prices for Lou:

Official Bud Selig Ball 150.00
Photo, your item 125.00
Official, Harridge repro ball 200.00

Also, Combo picture w Babe Ruth, 325.00 from Babe's private signing last year w the Coaches.

Now, maybe since I injected enough humor, more REAL signing photos?

There is no doubt that when you shook Dottie's hand you knew it. She was a powerful lady and had a personality to go with it.

On a side note, she took no money for that signing. She said that all of the women who played in the Womens Professional League had an agreement that they would sign for free regardless of what kind of signing that they were doing. We did ask about making a donation in her name to an orgainization and I believe we did donate to the Women's Professional League directly for her.
