![]() I can't find a decent photo for a good comparison. But the Fleet Champion may be Hippo Burns. He was a trainer and Naval Champion. He would help train, spar with and manage guys like Jack Johnson, Sam Langford and Harry Wills when they made trips to the West Coast. He could be seen entering the ring with Jack Johnson during the James Jeffries fight. Last photo is Burns looking through a telescope type device on a naval ship. |
