Palmer's magnificent 1888 book Athletic Sports in America, England and Australia is relatively common. Palmer's 1893 Sights Around the World (which had extracts of the 1888 edition) less so, but lacks the color illustrations.
I suspect Mr. Sloate has seen a few, but this is the first copy I've seen of Palmer's 1890 Stories of the Base Ball Field. It's a paperbound book and the cover has separated, but it's a miracle it survived at all. I've very pleased to have picked it up. ![]()
