Perhaps it seems dominated by photos, because photos are 1) Photos seem to be part of many collectors field of interests. Even if it isn't their main focus, they still obtain some now and again. 2) Photos have become much more available to everyone, both in quantity and price, since the release of all the newspapers archives. 3) They are great display pieces. Just my 2c. Came in today's mail. Dated 1957 Japanese program for Pride of The Yankees movie. Many cool pics inside from the movie. Text is almost entirely in Japanese.
