Hello collectors,
I recently purchased this baseball that I believe is signed by Grover Cleveland Alexander. I was hoping to get some opinions on the authenticity of the baseball and some help with the other two signatures that appear on it. The story I got from the seller is that she attended a House of David game in Colorado in the early 1930s as a young child with her father. While she was at the game, she got this baseball signed by a few of the players. The signatures that appear on the baseball are GC Alexander, Babe Didrickson, and a man named EE Ambrose. The baseball was manufactured by Draper and Maynard. Does anyone have any information on EE Ambrose? Was he a House of David player? Would Babe Didrickson's signature add value to the baseball? Is Alexander's signature authentic? Any help is appreciated. Here are the photos: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by packs; 08-01-2011 at 09:05 PM. |
