Maybe not a perfect comparison, but look to Don Mattingly. Doesn't have the rings, but a close parallel to Jeter in terms of popularity during his era. Mattingly hit his memorabilia peak in the 90s and is probably a $50 - $75 autograph at this point. I suspect when the next "icon" comes along, the demand for Jeter memorabilia will take a similar course.
