I have recently come across a seller who is promoting major league baseball team photos and other multi-player photos from the 1920's era and is stating that they were housed in a visible location at newstands in the 1920's to promote newspaper sales. They seem to be mostly adhered to a cardboard backing and include the newspaper's own credit somewhere in the bottom portion of the team photo.
Has anyone ever heard of these types of items, which seem to measure around 13" X 16"? I have heard of Illustrated Current News premiums (mainly offered by Columbia City Collectibles) but I think that they are something different. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
