Every country in the world is trying to purposely lower their currency value to make their products more attractive to foreign buyers to stimulate their economy. It has absolutely no bearing on sports cards or any other collectible.
Once the economy in all of these countries are more robust they will make moves to strengthen their respective currency values. While it may appear that the value of the US dollar is falling it is actually being deliberately pushed down to achieve the above. Gold is a terrible buy, really a suckers bet.
