1930s? Football Jersey
I found this at an antique store today - those vertical embellishments appear to be silk, it has huge oval pads on the elbows (that I didn't capture in pics), numbers are more purple than the pics show. It's really in nice shape - although I collected pre-wwii baseball unis for quite a while, I know little about old football jerseys, but I was stunned when I saw this (advertised as a 'fencing' jersey !?!?!) and nabbed it quickly:
