Default Why is T206 Museum quoted as the authority on T206 by major auction houses?

Many auction houses (Goodwin, REA, etc) have continued to rely on T206 museum as their primary source of T206 information - especially for back scarcity.

Given the shady at best (fraudelent? / criminal?) behavior by T206 museum's owner I find it very curious why these reputable auction houses continue to rely on this tainted source of information.

I personally believe that Jim R's T206 thread on rare backs is far more accurate (and probably less biased) than T206 museum's list.

Thoughts?
