I'm interested in early Boston teams of the 1870s and would like to create a photo checklist of Mort Rogers scorecards that picture Boston players on the cover.
According to Barry Sloate's article "Mort Rogers and His Famous Photographic Scorecards" in issue #5 of VCBC magazine , there are 11 known "Mort Rogers" scorecards that picture Boston players. Schafer was posted previously on net54. McVey and Birdsall were sold at auction. Harry Wright's scorecard is pictured in black & white in the VCBC article. That leaves 7 Mort Rogers scorecards that I cannot locate. If you can post an image of any of the remaining Boston player scorecards I would appreciate it. Thanks! Paul C. Roscoe C Barnes Frank L Barrows X David S Birdsall J Fred Cone Charles H Gould Samuel Jackson X Calvin A McVey X Harry C Schafer Albert W Spalding George Wright X (b/w) Harry Wright |
