I just purchased this card on the B/S/T and I can't wait to receive it in the mail. I also can't wait to ask the question I have about it! I did my research through the search feature of this site and also as much as I could on Google, but was unable to find an answer.
According to every resource I have located, Lee Quillen only spent 2 seasons in the major leagues and those were with the Chicago White Sox. I know he was BORN in Minnesota but that does not mean he played for any Minneapolis franchise. Can anyone explain the reason as for the Minneapolis being printed across his jersey in the portrait? Maybe this is something I am completely missing but I did enough research to affirm my suspicions! Can anyone explain this oddity? Or is it not an oddity at all? ![]() ![]()
