How does one get their sons into collectiing?

My kids turn 3 this week and I'm wondering what is the trick to get them into collecting. I was a huge baseball fan as a kid and began collecting by the time I was 5. I got really into it at around 10 or so. My father had zero interest so I managed to self-start. Anyone who successfully turned their kids into collectors care to share how?
