I respect Bill and his opinions greatly, but I have to disagree. I think it would be difficult and take a long time to recreate a lot of the information that is archived on this site. The loss of threads from knowledgeable people that for whatever reason are no longer with us would be horrible. People still read the Trader Speaks and other older hobby publications, I see the old threads as harder to read but equally important.
