Default Someone who knows an SGC grader......

Posted By: ScottDango

this autographed card is not the same as the base card....the auto versions have the word "authentic autograph" written in the background on the lower border...

before fleer went bankrupt, this auto version was considered one of the rarest Pujols auto rookies, with an estimated 60 copies....

after the bankruptcy, many of the "fake" auto versions started popping up to the point they were flooding the market.....(i think unsigned copies made it out the back door)

the fakes are not even good fakes, the auto looks terrible, and its on the wrong spot on the card...

PSA stopped grading these after i notified Joe Orlando of the problem....since the card is post 1999, they (the grading company) was taking the word of the card company that the auto was legit....until i notified them of the problem.....

about 6 versions got by PSA....

i have been tracking the fakes for about a year now....

ps...i know this is a vintage board, sorry for the modern post but i thought it was important...

Scott
