Ok, good. I like to look at averages because they tend to smooth out price differences due to cards that are unusually strong or weak for their grade, and other factors. In any case, it is interesting that SMR and VCP are reasonably close on the total values for the Goudey set. I think that suggests that while VCP reflects the reality of what is going on in the market, SMR remains one of the primary engines driving buyers' expectations, and thus the prices that are actually realized. |
