I think if you get a couple of buyers with a lack of patience and a quality card that you do not see every week, you can get prices over current book or retail. But 5-7 times normal price makes you wonder what the heck is going on. More then likely, it will take a long time to recoup the price paid but it could be the buyer is going to bury the card in a collection for decades. You can pretty much count on the auction houses being fairly consistent on prices but the bay can give you a few head scratchers as well as some deals if you get lucky. |
