JK"Roy Williams. Class coach. Waits until his team scores 103 points and 3 minutes left in a huge blow out to start taking his starters out. Class guy. I hope someone beats his smirking ass down the road. I guess since his teams have choked so often in past years at Kansas and NC that he wanted to make his 36 point lead was safe. What a jackass."
Bob - I realize that that was your school, but you've got to be kidding right? That comment above looks like nothing but sour grapes to me. I was at the game. When I left, it looked to me like the Razorbacks were still trying to score, still trying to play defense, and still hoping to come back. Texas's starters lost a 17 point lead in the last 7 minutes of their game against Miami (a 10 seed) and was fortunate to hold on to the win. 30 points up may be a lot safer than 17, but not when you have walk ons and non-scholarship players in the game. This is the NCAA's - there is no room for mistakes. And its not as if Arkansas wasn't playing well. They shot just under 50%, had only 9 turnovers, and shot 6 more free throws than did Carolina (so there goes the "refs love Carolina" theory). If the score had been reversed, I guarantee that Arkansas wouldnt have put in their scrubs until the last few minutes. Arkansas got out played - get over it.
And by the way, say what you want about the Kansas years, but since Roy has been at UNC, he is 1-0 in National Championship games.
