RhysI have not been to the fiddle festival but we will probably check it out this year. Weiser is a cool little town because all of the original old turn of the century brick buildings are still there even though it is a largely rural area. The telephone building that Johnson worked in while he payed baseball is still there and the town still has a really cool old feel to it.
I saw that postcard from Mile High at the Sun Times Show and examined it in person. I will probably go for it but the Weiser postcards are a bit of an anomoly to me. I think the photo in Mastro is from when Johnson played for Weiser because it from a Weiser studio and a period mount, but all the postcards I have seen are from much later, almost like a commemorative issue or something. The one in Mile High is postmarked from 1918 and that is fairly consistant with the others I have seen as far as age.
