Baseball lost its best pitcher of all-time(biased opinion). 170-83 by age 25 with an amazing 5 year stretch including a 2.40 ERA pitching for the White Stockings in 1884 when they set the long standing home run records because of the outfield fences a mere 200 feet away.I think that 1884 season had alot to do with his early arm injuries he never recovered from.He also went 43-14 1.95 as a 20 year old rookie! |
