I actually do not believe the market will freefall. On the other hand, it can't go up forever and it could recede some. No market goes up forever- not art, real estate, gold, diamonds, whatever... so eventually there will be some adjustment. I remember the early 90's was weak- when the Copeland sale took place in 1991, I don't think the market was that strong. I remember the mid-90's market for 19th century wasn't good- I was afraid back then to keep Old Judges in stock because you couldn't give them away. And after 9/11, the market took a hit. But it's been non-stop upwards since then, which is pretty remarkable. But as I like to say "all vacations have to end sometime." But don't ask me to guess when, I haven't a clue. |
