Need Help Dating a Ruth/Gehrig Advert

Just won this last night on ebay as I stumbled onto this at the last second. It was placed in a Billboard/Programs section, so not many folks saw this. Firstly, I would like to know if this is real? Secondly, if it is real a specific time period would be helpful. I know that Gehrig won the MVP in 1927 and 1936, is there anything on here that would indicate a specific year? Thirdly, if this is real, is such an advert rare or valuable and was there a specific style associated with such? Thanks!
