E106 vs E107 scarcity

I can't claimt o have much experience with e106s, but I think part of the reason you don't see many for sale is due to lack of demand and high profile sales that you see with e107s. e107s are very hot right now. The huge prices realized tend to bring out cards that have been in hiding for a long time. e106s don't have much in the way of a following and they there have been no high profile sales to put the set in the spot light. When a few high profile sales happen and prices in general for cards in the set start rapidly escalating, you will start to see a lot more e106s on the market.
