Who will be more popular 500 years from now: Babe Ruth or John Lennon?

I dunno, but it seems to me that during the period of Ruth's primary reign there were others who vied for the public's attention. Certainly Hornsby put on a show which rivaled the Swat Sultan, and during the 1920 - 1930 period, the only six hitters to compile 250 or more hits in a season (well other than Ichiro) set their mark.
