E92 Wagner Hand Cut

I understand that the E92s include 4 distinct backs: Nadja Caramel, Dockman & Sons, Croft's Cocoa and Croft's Candy. On ebay, there is currently a Wagner "blank back," which is described as "hand cut." I assume by this reference that the others were not "hand cut." Can someone please explain its origin? Thanks in advance.
