Ryan ChristoffLyle,
In this particular case, you don't need telepathy to know the seller's motives. The question was asked "Charlie: What are your plans for the card?"
The seller's response was "I am accepting offers but I am also considering ebay. MANONTHEROCK gets pretty good auction results."
This means he is clearly SELLING THE CARD. If I'm excited about a card in my collection and I want to share it with others, my response to that question is "My plans are to keep the card in my collection." or "I have no plans for the card."
He gave two possible options:
1. He will sell the card privately by accepting offers.
2. He will sell the card on ebay. He even made sure we knew exactly what his ebay name was so we could look for it.
None of those options include him not selling the card. His post was spam, plain and simple. This doesn't mean he's a bad guy or unethical as there seem to be many board members who have had successful transactions with him. It just means he's obviously selling the card and was from the beginning.
