Tom: No, this article is by Chris Benjamin and is reprinted from a 1986 edition of the Card Collectors Bulletin. The Wrapper, by the way, is probably the last hold out from those by-gone days of The Trader Speaks, etc. It's paper, stapled and is generally devoted to both vintage and newer nonsports cards. It was started in the late 70's by Les Davis as an adzine devoted to card wrappers, mainly baseball. Over the years it evolved into a mainly nonsports card content. It's only about $20 a year, so for anyone with an interest in cards outside of the baseball realm it's worth a look at a sample copy. |
