When I was drooling over the Oshkosh cabinet, Ben very kindly wrote the seller to please not end the auction early, because a few people really wanted to snipe it. It never would even have OCCURRED to me that I had to ASK a seller not to end an auction early that had NO BIDS AND NO RESERVE..
