I've taken an interest in Zinn Beck bats, since I live in the Columbia, SC area, where Beck played, lived, coached and possibly manufactured bats. A year or so ago they popped up on eBay regularly. The prices seemed to steadily escalate, probably due to the theory that Zinn Becks were popular among major league players of the era. Now they rarely show up. I've seen one picture, I think it was of Heinie Groh, holding a bat with what appears to be a ZB label. That's about it. So what does everyone really think of ZB's making it to the majors? I'm not so sure. One avid collector I talked to, thinks this story was created by some professional graders. $$$$$$$$$$$$ |
