Joann, I have done a little research and have found that this Hopkins brothers team was a team put together by Hopkins Brothers Sporting Goods out of Kansas City and Des Moines. Hopkins Brothers was more notable for sponsoring the All Nations baseball club which comprised players of many nationalities and included women too. From what I have read they barnstormed in the teens and went from town to town by train living in tents on the ballfields much the same way the Nebraska Indian team did. |
