Default Count Off...1,2

Posted By: barrysloate

I never get to post about my collection, since I don't collect cards, so I can finally participate in one of these threads. I don't have a lot left, but here goes:

Name: Barry Sloate
Location: Brooklyn, N.Y.
Age: 54

I have primarily display pieces and books. My highlight display pieces are:

Allen & Ginter N28 baseball banner
1867 Nationals of Albany triple-plate panoramic photograph
1860 Live Oak Polka sheet music (first color print of baseball in America)
1861 Home Run Quick Step color sheet music
1869 Peck & Snyder hand colored advertising poster

My highlight books are:

1834 Robin Carver The Book of Sports (first book printed in America with rules and illustration of baseball)
1835 Babcock's Boy's Book of Sports- first edition of first chapbook in America to contain baseball
1859 NAABP League Constitution- second earliest known league constitution
1860 Ballplayers Pocket Companion (in transit at the moment)
Henry Chadwick's The Game of Baseball

I've sold nearly all of my other pieces and just kept a few of my favorites.
