Starting 1933 Goudey Set

Stick with the commons until you get familiar with the cards. Even then, I wouldn't recomend buying a raw Ruth or Gehrig from eBay. Way too many fakes. Buy those slabbed or wait until you can go to a show and be able to actually examine the card in person.
