There are many participants who have only been posting for a few months, but most of them were polite and posted an introduction before diving in - it's a way of getting to "virtually" know each other, and that's really all it takes.

If you were having a party and a stranger walked in your door without knocking, unknown to anyone, dove into a few conversations and then refused to tell anyone who he was because he was afraid someone at the party might decide to rob him later, wouldn't you boot his *ss out the door?
