Default Morehouse 2.0 - new discovery

As I shared here last Fall, we were lucky enough to have had the dream Yard Sale experience last summer which turned into a newly discovered 1916 M101. Morehouse Ruth Red Sox rookie card (plus Jackson, Thorpe and other HOFers)

That experience was really a blast - tons of mainstream, non hobby media coverage which turned into quite a few really nice collection/consignments coming our way.

And among them now is another Morehouse Baking find of cards, as many here predicted might happen - a local man had a shoebox full of cards that were passed down to him and he figured they had value. But he had no idea how much until the Morehouse 1.0 find hit the news. He reached out to me to ask for advice and he decided in the end to consign his big boy cards to Heritage which come out this summer.

But thankfully, I am not missing out totally in the fun - he decided to consign about 90 of the cards to us and we’ll be direct selling them in about a week. About 30 just came back with strong grades from SGC and many are now pop 1, believe it or not.

We’re working out details of our sales strategy and expect to have them all fully priced and available late next week. I’ll surely post them here too in BST.

Moral of the story is that there are definitely still amazing cards still out there in the wild.. I guess you just have an old school yard sale and wait for lighting to strike

Man, I just love this hobby!
